Quadri: a town in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo
Quadri is a municipality located in the middle Sangro Valley in Abruzzo. With a population of about 700 inhabitants, it is the smallest municipality in the area in terms of extension.
Physical geography of Quadri
The territory of Quadri has a quadrangular shape and borders with other municipalities through different ditches, streams and rivers. It is crossed by the SS 558 Sangrina road that connects it with other cities in the region. Moreover, it is also possible to reach it through the Sangro valley floor or the Sangritana railway.
History of Quadri
Quadri was founded between the 10th and the 11th centuries by Benedictine monks who lived in the Abbey of Santa Maria dei Quatri, built on the ruins of an ancient Samnite temple located in the ancient pre-Roman city of Trebula. The toponym originated from the word "quadre", plots of land with a quadrangular shape that were given in colony to the local farmers.

Quadri has several monuments and places of historical and cultural interest. Among the most important ones are:
- The church of San Nicola di Bari, built in the 18th century;
- The castle tower, dating back to the late Middle Ages;
