Hi everyone! Today we are talking about Premolo, a beautiful mountain village in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy.
Physical geography
The territory of Premolo is completely mountainous and develops on the right bank of the Val Seriana. The residential center of the capital is distributed on the southern slopes of the Cime di Belloro, at an average altitude of about 625 m above sea level. The municipal territory borders Ponte Nossa, Parre, Ardesio, Oltre il Colle, Oneta and Gorno.
The hamlets of the capital
The residential center of the capital is divided into numerous hamlets, including Ceradello, Oselandina, Costa, Ranica, Case Lulini, Botta, Piane and Bratte. Going up, you reach the wonderful locality of Sonfaet, which is crossed by a silvo-pastoral road that leads almost to the Cime di Belloro. Here you can find numerous farmhouses and mountain huts located between pastures and woods.
The nature of the territory
The administrative boundaries of the municipality are almost entirely defined by natural boundaries, such as watershed lines, mountain ridges or watercourses. The territory is rich in mountains and peaks, including Pizzo Arera, which reaches 2,512 meters. The area is perfect for nature lovers, trekking and mountain enthusiasts.
The boundaries of the municipality
The boundaries of the municipality of Premolo are well defined. To the south, the municipal territory borders the village of Nossa. To the East, the Nossana stream divides the competences with those of Ponte Nossa and Parre. The eastern border follows the course of the stream to the locality of Piazza Manzone, where it moves onto the ridge that divides the valley itself from its tributary, Val Gorgolina. The northern border is given by the line that divides the Valcanale di Ardesio, while to the west the boundaries descend along the coast that reaches up to Grem, the administrative limit with Oltre il Colle.
