History

Symbols

The first thing I want to highlight is the importance of the municipal coat of arms, which features a banner divided into blue and white. But let's move on to the history of the town...

Monuments and places of interest

Religious architecture

One of the things you absolutely cannot miss is the Church of the Blessed Virgin Assumption, located in the heart of the town. It was built in 1628 at the request of Cardinal Federico Borromeo and next to it stands a chapel dedicated to Saints Paul and Grato.

Military architecture

If you are a lover of history and medieval architecture, you cannot miss a visit to the medieval Castle of Prarolo. Its construction date is not precisely known but it is known to date back at least to 1398.

Society

Demographic evolution

As far as demographic evolution is concerned, it is interesting to note how the number of inhabitants has remained more or less stable over time, with a slight increase in recent years.

Administration

Let's now move on to the administration of the town. The Mayor of Prarolo is currently Fabrizio Sella and the City Council is composed of 10 members.
