Caprioli: a small piece of paradise by the sea
Caprioli is a beautiful hamlet of the municipality of Pisciotta in the province of Salerno, located on the Costa del Mar Tirreno and along the SS 447 road to Palinuro. This small village boasts a population of 953 inhabitants and is composed of five districts: Valle di Marco, Caprioli "C", Fornace, Santa Caterina, Villa Verde and Pedali.
Physical geography
Caprioli is located in a privileged position, approximately 5 km from both Pisciotta and Palinuro (Centola). In the past, the Caprioli railway station on the Naples-Reggio Calabria Southern Tyrrhenian Railway was located here, but it is now closed. Caprioli, and in particular its watchtower, built in the early seventeenth century, represented a defense against Saracen incursions.

Caprioli is an important summer tourist destination thanks to the good connections offered by the nearby Pisciotta-Palinuro railway station, which serves the village with a shuttle bus that takes tourists to Marina di Camerota. Along the coastal strip, there are beautiful sandy beaches that enchant all visitors who come here for vacation.
