Pieve di Bono

Welcome to Pieve di Bono-Prezzo!

Hello everyone! Today we will talk about Pieve di Bono-Prezzo, a municipality in the province of Trento, in Trentino-Alto Adige, which was established on January 1st, 2016 by merging the territories of Pieve di Bono and Prezzo. With its 1431 inhabitants, Pieve di Bono-Prezzo is a scattered municipality, but don't be fooled by its size, because this small town has no shortage of monuments and places of interest to visit!

History

After the merger of the two municipalities, the Provincial Council approved the coat of arms and flag of Pieve di Bono-Prezzo. The coat of arms represents a green mountain on a red background, with two stylized peaks in the shape of triangles, loaded with a clover and a silver wheel. Under the mountain, there is a colonnade of six columns with bases and capitals, which support five round arches and a rectangular architrave, all natural. The flag, instead, is white.

Pieve di Bono-Prezzo: a municipality to discover!

Monuments and places of interest

If you are interested in religious architecture, I recommend visiting the Church of Santa Giustina in Creto, the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate in Agrone, and the Church of San Giacomo Maggiore in Prezzo. But Pieve di Bono-Prezzo is not only a municipality rich in religious architecture, there are also numerous military works to visit, such as the Roman Castle in Por. This medieval castle remains one of the most important historical points of interest in the area.

Society

Pieve di Bono-Prezzo has seen a remarkable demographic evolution in recent years and its population is constantly growing.

Administration

The municipal headquarters of Pieve di Bono-Prezzo is located in Creto, one of the main towns of the two original municipalities, but the new municipality is managed in a decentralized manner, with offices also in other fractions.

Notes

I highly recommend coming to discover Pieve di Bono-Prezzo in person, because there are no words to describe the beauty of this beautiful municipality of Trentino-Alto Adige.
