The History of Delfino Pescara 1936
Delfino Pescara 1936, also known as Pescara Calcio 1936, was founded on July 4, 1936, under the name Società Sportiva Pescara. Based in Pescara, it is an Italian football team currently competing in Serie C, the third division of the Italian football championship. Throughout its history, the club has participated in 7 Serie A championships, one National Division, and a remarkable 39 Serie B championships.

Bankruptcy and Refounding
Unfortunately, the club has also suffered a sad fate. On December 19, 2008, Delfino Pescara 1936 was declared bankrupt. However, thanks to a group of local entrepreneurs led by Giuseppe De Cecco and Deborah Caldora, daughter of Armando Caldora, the historic president of the team at the time of its first promotion to Serie A in 1977, the club was refounded on January 20, 2009. The company retained the logo, achievements, and rankings of Pescara Calcio founded in 1936.
In 2011, the presidency was taken over by Daniele Sebastiani, previously the club's CEO, who still holds the position today. Pescara resumed its activities, striving to rise again and achieve new successes.

The Birth of Pescara Football (1920-1936)
The history of Pescara football has distant roots, starting in the 1920s. At that time, the youth of Pescara played football first in the "Vigor" club and then in "Ursus," while the nearby Castellammare Adriatico saw the succession of the "Edera" and "Aternum" clubs. In 1927, Gabriele D'Annunzio proposed the creation of the Province of Pescara, merging the two centers of Pescara and Castellammare Adriatico into a single city. This initiative also led to a merger on the football front, and three years later, the Abruzzo Sports Association was born.
In the 1931-1932 season, the team won the Regional Second Division Championship. Led by Pietro Piselli, the team, in the 1932-1933 season, assumed the name of Associazione Sportiva Pescara and was admitted to the Serie C 1935-1936. The club was forced to dissolve due to financial problems, despite having demonstrated great ambitions and potential.
