Hello everyone! Today I want to talk to you about the Municipality of Pertengo, a small village with only 279 inhabitants located in the beautiful Piemonte region, in the province of Vercelli.
History and Symbols
The historical past of Pertengo is passed down through its symbols, depicted both in the coat of arms and in the municipal flag. The coat of arms was officially recognized on May 21st, 2015, and features the coat of arms of the Tizzoni family, an important family of the area, along with the motto "Pro Te Teneo" which gave rise to the name of the village. The municipal flag, on the other hand, is a split red and white cloth.
I like to think that these symbols are a way to keep the memory of Pertengo's past alive, a testimony of its history that is passed down from generation to generation.
