Pecco
A tour of Pecco, the municipal capital of Val di Chy
Hello friends, today I will be talking about Pecco, a small municipal area in the metropolitan city of Turin, located in Piedmont. I had the fortune of spending a few days there, partly for leisure and partly for work.
Physical Geography
Pecco is a very small municipality, which until 2018 was the municipality with the smallest land area in the province. It is located in the Val Chiusella, on the hydrographic left of the valley.
History
As far as the history of Pecco is concerned, I would like to tell you about its symbols, the coat of arms and the gonfalon, granted by decree of the President of the Republic on February 16, 1955. The gonfalon was a green and white split flag.
Society
Like many Italian municipalities, that of Pecco has undergone demographic changes over the years.
Administration
From an administrative point of view, the municipality of Pecco is part of the Valchiusella, Valle Sacra and Dora Baltea Canavesana Mountain Community. It is interesting to know that in 2018, the municipalities of Alice Superiore, Pecco and Lugnacco merged, giving rise to the new municipality of Val di Chy.
