Welcome to Pasturana!
Hello everyone! Today we will discover Pasturana, a small municipality in the province of Alessandria, in the Piedmont region. With its 1289 inhabitants, this town is located on the extreme hilly foothills of the Ligurian Apennines.
History
The history of Pasturana dates back to 969 when the monastery of San Salvatore in Pavia took possession of it. Later, it passed under the dominion of the Gavi family in the twelfth century and then of the Republic of Genoa. In 1336, it entered the orbit of the Marquisate of Monferrato. It was then a fiefdom of the Spinola family and finally the Trotti family.
Symbols
The municipality of Pasturana obtained its symbols (coat of arms and gonfalon) in 1989.

Events
Pasturana offers several interesting events throughout the year, organized by the Proloco of Pasturana, a non-profit organization. Among these, the "Sagra del corzetto" held on the first weekend of September, where you can find gastronomic stands and demonstrations of agricultural machinery works. In addition, there is "Artebirra," a festival of Italian craft beer, which takes place on the first or second weekend of June.
