Inside you can admire wooden statues from the 16th century and papier-mâché executed by the cartapesta masters of Lecce. The church was rebuilt after the collapse of 1921 and is a true architectural gem.
Church of San Rocco
The Church of San Rocco dates back to 1753 and was built by the Lacci family and then passed to the d'Errico family. It is an elliptical-shaped church with a curvilinear facade, in which the broken tympanum portal opens. The interior has a single nave with two side chapels and includes a polychromatic marble inlaid altar with the statue of San Rocco, sculpted by the potentino sculptor Michele Busciolano. Over the years, the church has been transformed into a family chapel and there are family tombs of the d'Errico family.
