This town is situated near the Raccordo autostradale 8, connected to the A13 motorway (south exit of Ferrara) and the Strada statale 309 Romea, as well as the Ferrara-Comacchio state road. A brief history of the municipality
Ostellato was originally known for its old municipal crest depicting three stars in the upper part and a roundish figure below, resembling a valley with small islands. This crest was later replaced by a new one in the Napoleonic era, featuring three bones. The new crest was granted by a decree of the President of the Republic in June 2008, and the flag is a white drape with a blue border.
