Hello friends, today I'm going to talk to you about a beautiful place: Oliena, a municipality located in the province of Nuoro, in Sardinia. With a population of 6,603 inhabitants, Oliena is located on the edge of the Barbagia di Ollolai, about 10 km from Nuoro.
Physical geography
The territory of Oliena is nestled under the limestone massif of Mount Corrasi, also known as the Supramonte of Oliena. The village is surrounded by the peaks of Corrasi and Carabidda which can be admired from the top of Mount Ortobene. History

Oliena preserves the traces of its history in many points of the city. The spring of Su Gologone is a source where people believed there was a goddess who gave water to the village. It was also believed that if the spring dried up, it would have been a sign of the end of the world.
