Neiróne is located in the Fontanabuona valley and is characterized by a mountainous terrain with peaks such as Mount Montaldo, Mount Lavagnola, and Mount Bocco.
A bit of history
The history of Neiróne dates back to the 5th century BC, as evidenced by the discovery of a tomb of a Ligurian warrior in 1889 in the hamlet of Corsiglia. In 1147, the village was mentioned for the first time in an ecclesiastical document. Neiróne was subject to the Fieschi family, then passed to the Republic of Genoa, which created the podesteria of Neiróne and Roccatagliata. During the French period, Neiróne was part of the Gulf of Tigullio department and later became part of the Kingdom of Sardinia.

The coat of arms and banner of Neiróne show a golden tower on a silver shield with a red cross and were granted in 1975.
