Hydrography

Nebbiuno is surrounded by several watercourses, among which the major ones are the Tiasca and Rio Colorio streams. The former crosses the areas of Fosseno, Tapigliano and Corciago, skirts the town of Meina and finally flows into Lake Maggiore. Rio Colorio, on the other hand, originates upstream of the residential area of ''Poggio Alto'', crosses the meadows between the center of Nebbiuno and the hamlet of Campiglia and flows into Lake Maggiore north of Meina. Rio Strolo is an important tributary of Rio Colorio and crosses the historic center of Nebbiuno. Other streams in the area are Selva Nocca, Valle and Rio Valcabbia, which are tributaries of Tiasca. Riale Tiaschella originates in the woods above Fosseno and flows into Vevera, an important tributary of Lake Maggiore, which also touches the city of Arona. Rio Valdolera flows in ''Costa Maca'' and flows into Agogna along with Cerusca after marking the border between Nebbiuno and Armeno for a stretch.

Climate

The climate of Nebbiuno is characterized by cold winters and hot summers, with a slightly continental climate. However, thanks to the proximity to Lake Maggiore, winter is mild and in the hot summers you can enjoy the cool breezes that come from Mount Mottarone.

If you are thinking of visiting Nebbiuno, know that you can enjoy a characteristic territory, rich in watercourses and forests, also suitable for outdoor activities. Come and discover the charm of this small Piedmontese town.
