"La Pirènta" Fountain
The Pirènta Fountain, located at the foot of Montelungo and to the east of the village, is a source of sulphurous water that is oily to the touch and has an odor of hydrogen sulphide gas. Once effectively used for gastrointestinal disorders and skin diseases, this sulphurous water fountain was channeled into two stone basins for the maceration of hemp. At the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth century, the fountain was the site of a very popular thermal establishment, now converted into a powder magazine.
