Crugnola

Greetings from the small village of Crugnola!

Hello everyone! I would like to tell you some interesting facts about my hometown, Crugnola, a lovely hamlet in the municipality of Mornago, in the province of Varese.

Geography

Crugnola is a charming place: it is located in the Olona plain, between lakes and mountains, and offers a breathtaking view of the entire region. The hamlet is situated about 5 kilometers from the center of Varese and a few steps from the Swiss border.

Walking through the village, you will feel like you are in another era. You can see the old stone houses and the cobblestone alleys, where time seems to have stood still. If you are in the area, don't miss a visit to the nearby Ticino Natural Park, a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers.

Crugnola: the enchanted village among lakes and mountains.

People

But Crugnola is not just a picturesque location: the village has given birth to numerous important figures who have marked the history of our country.

Among these, I want to mention Aurelio Crugnola, the famous Italian set designer, winner of numerous awards in the national theater scene. A citizen of honor of Varese, who has contributed significantly to the spread of culture and art in our territory.

There are also Gaetano Crugnola, an Italian engineer and writer, author of important essays on architecture and urban planning, and Andrea Crugnola, a young talent in the world of motors. The latter, in fact, is a highly successful racing driver who has already won numerous titles both in Italy and abroad.

Conclusion

In short, Crugnola is a special village, rich in history and successes. If you are planning a trip to this area, I recommend making a stop here: you will discover a corner of Italy with an authentic and genuine flavor.
