Monteleone di Fermo
Welcome to Monteleone di Fermo!
Hello friends, today I will tell you about Monteleone di Fermo, a municipality in the province of Fermo in the Marche region. The village has a population of 365 inhabitants and is also called "Monteleó" in the Marche dialects of the Macerata-Fermana-Camerte area.
History
Until 1870, Monteleone di Fermo was an independent municipality, but later it was merged with the fraction of Sant'Elpidio Morico, and then returned to be part of the municipality of Monsampietro Morico in 1893. The coat of arms of the municipality was granted in 2005 and the standard is a yellow cloth.
Society
The population of Monteleone di Fermo has always been small and has slightly decreased over the years. Today it is a small, but welcoming and characteristic village.
Administration
Monteleone di Fermo is part of the Unique Regional Health Agency of the Marche region and is included in the wider area no. 4 of Fermo.
The mud volcanoes
Although it is a quiet village, Monteleone di Fermo has a particular feature: active mud volcanoes! These volcanoes are not far from the village center and the mud can come out of cracks in the ground or form large cones that can be destroyed by the strong explosions of some volcanoes.
Monuments and places of interest
The Church of Mercy is undoubtedly the most important monument in Monteleone di Fermo. Here you can admire the fresco of the High Altar, adorned with the "Universal Judgment" by Giuliano Presutti, dating back to 1548.

If you are looking for a quiet village, far from the noise of the city, then Monteleone di Fermo is the ideal place for you. You can relax and enjoy the peace of the Italian countryside, explore the mud volcanoes and admire the beautiful fresco of the Church of Mercy.
