The locations of Bivio Pratole and Pagliarone, located in the plain, are more developed thanks to the proximity of the Strada statale 18 Tirrena Inferiore.

History

The municipality of Montecorvino Pugliano is the result of the division of the department of Rovella and Pugliano, which took place in 1820. Later, the City Council divided the municipality into several fractions, including Pugliano, Santa Tecla, Torello, Faiano and Pontecagnano.

The municipality of Pugliano developed thanks to the reclamation of the Picentino countryside and the quality of the land that attracted many families. In 1911, the municipality of Pontecagnano Faiano was born, separating from Montecorvino Pugliano, thanks to the considerable economic and demographic development of the area.

The municipality of Montecorvino Pugliano remained formed by the fractions of Santa Tecla, Pugliano, Gallara, Torello, Pagliarone and San Vito.
