Musso City: Two Italian Villages Conurbated

Hello everyone! Today I will talk about a village called Musso City. Many of you may not know it, or maybe I'm the only one in the dark. In any case, the name "Musso City" refers to two Italian villages that are conurbated. One is a fraction of the municipality of Montecassiano, located about 4.5 km from the town hall, while the other is in the municipality of Recanati.

History of Musso City

Did you know that in the area of Sambucheto, along the Potenza valley, evidence of burial areas dating back to the Copper Age has been discovered? Here some communities lived who practiced the worship of the dead, regulated according to precise funeral rituals in appropriate areas. These are among the oldest testimonies discovered in the area. Returning to modern Musso City, urban conglomerates were born at the beginning of the 20th century and in 1932 the church dedicated to Teresa of Lisieux was built. A tragic event that marked the history of Musso City is the "Sambucheto massacre", a triple murder that occurred in 1996 following the struggle between rival factions for control of the drug market.
