Historically, Peschiera Maraglio was part of the Quadra di Iseo, but during the Napoleonic era it was merged with the nearby Siviano. Later, when the Lombard-Veneto Kingdom was established, Peschiera Maraglio regained its autonomy and was renamed Peschiera d'Iseo to avoid confusion with the Venetian town of Peschiera del Garda, which was then in Brescia. In 1863, the town was renamed Peschiera Maraglio. In 1928, the town merged with Siviano and the new Monte Isola municipality was born.
