History
This hilly location in Turin has an ancient and interesting history, dating back to Roman times and passing through the Middle Ages and feudal battles between Moncalieri and Asti. The castle built by the Lords of Asti is still in ruins today but remains an interesting historical landmark in the area.
Etymology
The name "Revigliasco" seems to derive from the Latin "Revigliascum", referring to the most common tree on the surrounding hills, the Quercus petraea. The town's coat of arms contains this very tree, recalling its Latin roots.

The Parish Church of San Martino di Tours is definitely the most remarkable monument in the village, with its Baroque architecture and numerous works of art inside. Don't miss the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima and the Chapel of Our Lady with Child, depicted by the painter Alessandro Trono.
