Physical geography

Mombarcaro is nicknamed the "peak of the Langhe region" thanks to its altitude, the highest among all the municipalities in this charming area of the region. We are in fact at 896 meters above sea level, and on clear days from the belvedere behind the town, it is possible to see the glimmer of the sea, the typical glow that the sea creates when kissed by the sun. It is from here that the town takes its name: "Mom-barcaro".

In addition to the splendid view of the sea, from the top of Mombarcaro it is possible to admire other fabulous places, such as the Belbo valley, the Monte Spinarda and Monte Camulera mountains, the Colle del Melogno, the Ligurian Apennines, and the Colle di Cadibona. To the west, you can see Bric Mindino, Monte Antoroto, Pizzo d'Ormea, Colle della Lombarda, Gruppo del Chambeyron, Monviso, Cervino and Monte Rosa.
