Moiola

Welcome to Moiola!

Hello everyone! Today I want to talk to you about a wonderful village in Piedmont, called Moiola. This small town, with its 223 inhabitants, is located in the province of Cuneo and is known for its natural beauty as well as its fascinating history. If you enjoy discovering new places, then this article is for you!

History

Like many Italian cities, Moiola also has a rich and interesting history. Although there are few certain sources, it is known that the village existed already in the 14th century and was under the domination of the Savoy until the end of the 18th century. Later, it passed into the hands of the Demonte family until it was incorporated into the province of Cuneo in 1859.

Society

Demographic evolution

Over the years, the population of Moiola has remained relatively stable. There have been small increases and decreases, but in general the trend has been to remain around 200-300 inhabitants. However, this does not mean that the village is immobile or uneventful! On the contrary, thanks to the presence of associations and cultural groups, there are always opportunities to experience community life and discover the beauty of the area.

Infrastructure and transportation

Trams

A curious detail about Moiola's history concerns the ancient tram that connected it to other nearby villages. Between 1914 and 1948, in fact, the Cuneo-Borgo San Dalmazzo-Demonte tram also passed through Moiola. Today, the line that serves the village is the 93 Cuneo-Vinadio, managed by Bus Company.

Administration

The municipality of Moiola has a long administrative history, as you can see from the table that follows:
