Sorte is a typical rural mountain settlement, characterized by numerous wooden buildings. The church of San Giuseppe dates back to 1685 and is considered a real architectural gem. Inside, an altar created by the famous carver Giovanni Guadagnini represents Saint Joseph, the patron saint of the dying, and the ancient coat of arms of the Firmian family. The onion bell tower, adjacent to the little church, is one of the most suggestive attractions of Sorte and represents an ideal place to take pictures.
In the center of Sorte, there is also a shrine dedicated to Saint Mark, created by the artist Valentino Rovisi.
Sports
Sorte is an excellent choice for winter sports enthusiasts. Until the 90s, there were two ski lifts that allowed skiing on easy blue slopes suitable for all levels. Every year, on the last Sunday of January, the famous Marcialonga passes through here, a renowned international cross-country ski race that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world.
