Marzano: history and places of interest in Lombardy

History of Marzano

Marzano, together with the hamlet of Cazzano, was once an autonomous municipality. During the Napoleonic age (1809-1816), Marzano was incorporated into the municipality of Comazzo, but regained its ephemeral autonomy with the constitution of the Lombard-Venetian Kingdom. In 1841, however, the municipality of Marzano was definitively aggregated to the Municipality of Merlino.

The Carcassola Palace

Among the places of interest in Marzano, we find the Carcassola Palace, an impressive structure that attracts the attention of every visitor. It is not possible to visit the inside of the palace as it is privately owned, but admiring it from the outside is a unique experience.

Conclusions

In general, Marzano is a very peaceful and relaxing place, where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Lombard countryside.
