Mediglia: a rural city of ancient origins
Mediglia is a scattered municipality in the metropolitan city of Milan, located in Lombardy, with a population of 12,220 inhabitants. The locality has ancient origins and originally included only the fractions of Melegnanello and Triginto. Over time, several other fractions were integrated, some of which then retained autonomy with the formation of the Lombard-Venetian Kingdom.

Mediglia has seen a series of mayors over the years. Giuseppe Baietta, of the C.N.L. party, was the first mayor after World War II. Over the years, Mediglia has seen a change of parties and mayors until the current mayor Giovanni Fabiano, of the civic list.
