Longano is a small Italian municipality located on the slopes of the Matese mountain range, in the Molise region. With only 632 inhabitants, Longano is a small town where peace and tranquility reign. The history of Longano
The first historical records of the town date back to the Middle Ages, precisely to the year 1269. After a series of ownership transfers among various local nobles, the town became part of the Molise County in the 19th century. During this period, Longano experienced the phenomenon of brigandage: a famous brigand originating from the area was Salvatore Fiocca.
In 1928, the town was merged with the municipality of Isernia, before becoming an autonomous municipality in 1934.

How to reach Longano
The town of Longano can be reached through a series of provincial roads. The main one is the "SP 19 Longano-Isernia," which connects the town of Longano with Isernia.
