History
In the 3rd century BC, the Romans reached the Alps, but the Livinallongo area seems to have been little explored. During the early Middle Ages, civilization did not leave significant traces, but perhaps it was during this time that the Andraz Castle was built. Over time, the Livinallongo valley was assigned to the new Episcopal Principality of Bressanone.
