Oris

Welcome to the Oris Station!

Hello everyone! Today we are taking you on a journey to discover the Oris Station, a small gem located along the Val Venosta railway in the province of Bolzano.

The history of the station

Our railway stop has a history spanning over a century: it was opened back in 1906 and remained in operation until 1990, when the Ferrovia della Val Venosta was decommissioned by the Ferrovie dello Stato.

But our station was not closed forever! Thanks to the intervention of the autonomous province of Bolzano, which acquired the line and the buildings, the Oris stop was renovated and reopened to passenger traffic in 2005.

Structure and facilities of the station

The Oris Station has a passenger building built in the style that characterizes all the stations on the Merano-Malles line. It is a truly striking building that takes us back in time and makes us appreciate the beauty of railway architecture.

How to get there

If you are passing through the area and want to reach the Oris Station, you can do so by taking the regional and RegioExpress trains operated by SAD from and to Bolzano/Merano and Malles Venosta. The stop is very convenient for those who need to move along the Val Venosta or for those who want to reach the main cities of the province of Bolzano.

Conclusion

We have come to the end of our tour of the Oris Station! We hope you enjoyed discovering a little more about this railway stop with its antique charm. If you have the opportunity to come here, stop to admire the beauty of the building and take one of the trains that will take you to discover this beautiful area of Italy. See you next time!
