The municipal territory includes eight kilometers of the Phaeacians' coast on the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia, a portion of the Sant'Eufemia plain, and the hilly and mountainous areas that extend to Mount Mancuso. Additionally, it is approximately halfway between the Tyrrhenian Sea coast and the Calabrian Apennines and is positioned at the western end of the Catanzaro isthmus, the narrowest strip of land in the Italian peninsula, where the Tyrrhenian Sea is about thirty kilometers away from the Ionian Sea as the crow flies.

Climate

The climate of the city is typical of the Mediterranean, so generally temperate, with not too hot temperatures in summer and not too cold in winter. However, in some periods, especially in winter, it can become very cold and in others, like in summer, it can be very hot.
