The territory of the town reaches just over 1,100 meters above sea level and includes the Gallipari waterfalls and the "cascatelle di Isca" waterfalls.
History
Isca, together with Santa Caterina and Sant'Andrea, was part of the hamlets dependent on the much more influential Badolato. The town was ruled by several feudal families, including the Toraldo and Pignatelli di Belmonte, until the end of feudalism in 1806.

The town has a stable population with a slight decrease in recent years. The main football team in the city is A.S.D. Isca football which plays in the Calabria D group of Prima Categoria.
