Welcome to Reggio Emilia!

Hello everyone! Today I want to talk to you about a beautiful city located in Emilia-Romagna: Reggio Emilia!

The Territory of Reggio Emilia

Reggio Emilia is located in the Po Valley, surrounded by numerous watercourses and minor streams. Its name comes from its position along the Via Emilia, the ancient Roman road that connected Piacenza to Rimini. The municipality is flat and borders cities such as Campegine, Cadelbosco di Sopra and Bagnolo in Piano, Correggio, San Martino in Rio, Rubiera, Casalgrande, Scandiano, Albinea and Quattro Castella. The city center is located about 24 km northwest of Modena and 27.5 km southeast of Parma.

Snow falls about every year in winter, with rarely significant accumulations and great variability between one season and another.
