The coastal area south of the city is characterized by wild beaches and swamps that extend to the Ombrone, creating a unique atmosphere of pure air and unspoiled nature. In addition, the area is ideal for birdwatching thanks to the abundant presence of marsh birds that come here to winter. Places of interest in the hamlet

Among the main monuments are the Tower of Trappola, an ancient fortification dating back to the Middle Ages used as a collection point for salt in the following centuries. In the immediate vicinity is the chapel of Santa Maria alla Trappola, an ancient church of great historical value. Another chapel of interest is that of Strillaie, located outside the swampy area, near the main road to Principina a Mare.
