History of Gravedona ed Uniti
Gravedona ed Uniti is a relatively young municipality, created in 2011 by the merger of the three previous municipalities of Consiglio di Rumo, Germasino, and Gravedona. Despite the negative result of the consultative referendum held on November 14, 2010, where the "no" to the merger had prevailed in the two major municipalities, the new municipality was still founded thanks to the Regional Law No. 1 of February 10, 2011.
Municipality symbols
The coat of arms and standard of the municipality were granted in 2015. The coat of arms follows that of the previous municipality of Gravedona, where the crosses recall the historical belonging of Gravedona to the Republic of the Three Communities together with Sorico and Dongo. The standard is a red drapery.
