History
The territory of Godiasco was granted in fiefdom by Frederick Barbarossa to Obizzo Malaspina in 1164. The history of the municipality is closely related to the events of the Malaspina marquisate. In 1275, the branch of the Spino Fiorito, which was based in the Oramala Castle, included Godiasco in its territory, making it one of the most flourishing branches of the family. The marquisate of Godiasco was subjugated to the Duchy of Milan and became one of the "separate jurisdictions" or "different lands" of Oltrepò, perhaps the largest and most important. In 1743, Godiasco Salice Terme was united with Bobbiese to the Kingdom of Sardinia and, in 1797, with the abolition of feudalism, the history of the marquisate ended. In 1801, the territory was annexed to Napoleonic France until 1814. In 1818, it passed to Voghera and in 1859 to the province of Pavia. In June 2012, following a popular referendum, the name of the municipality was changed from "Godiasco" to "Godiasco Salice Terme", in order to give more importance to the main fraction of the municipality, Salice Terme, which has a greater number of inhabitants than the same municipal capital of Godiasco, and to emphasize the presence, within the territory, of important thermal springs.

Godiasco Salice Terme is located in Oltrepò Pavese, on the border with the province of Alessandria, on the middle course of the Staffora stream. The territory is characterized by hills and mountains, which offer a spectacular view of the valley below. The main activities of the municipality are agriculture and tourism.

The festival celebrates the production of mushrooms in the territory and offers the opportunity to taste typical dishes based on porcini mushrooms. Another interesting event is the Festa della Musica, which takes place every year in June and offers concerts and musical performances.
