History of Turago Bordone
Turago Bordone has ancient origins, being known since the twelfth century as "Toragum." In the past, it was part of the Pavese Soprana countryside, and it was a fiefdom of the Beccaria di Mezzano and Peverelli families of Milan in the eighteenth century. In 1928, along with five other places, it was suppressed and merged with Giussago.
Religious architecture
Among the wonders that this hamlet has to offer is the Parish Church of San Giorgio Martire, dating back to the fifteenth century. It is a Romanesque-style building, very picturesque and full of atmosphere. Its architecture evokes the tradition and history of Turago Bordone, representing an important artistic and cultural heritage of the area.

Demographic evolution
Turago Bordone has witnessed an interesting demographic evolution throughout the centuries. In 1750, there were 317 inhabitants, while in 1780, the number decreased to 264. In 1805, the population grew again, with 368 census residents, but in 1807, it dropped again to 260. In 1859, there was a strong growth, with 512 residents, and in 1871, it reached its peak of 607. Over the twentieth century, the hamlet has undergone some fluctuations, recording a minimum of 210 residents in 1853 and a maximum of 655 in 2017.
