History
Baselica Bologna is home to a parish church that had control over many nearby centers since the 12th century, when it was called "Baserice Nove", meaning "new basilicas". The village was part of the Campagna Soprana of Pavia and belonged to the counts of Lacchiarella, a branch of the Sforza of Caravaggio.
Monuments and places of interest
The church of Sant'Ambrogio ad Nemus, built in the 16th century, is an architectural gem that holds the remains of the Blessed Baldassarre Ravaschieri da Chiavari. Its beauty is enriched by the fact that it is located in a forest, creating a magical and relaxing atmosphere.
