From a social standpoint, Giove is a peaceful and relaxing town where life flows to the rhythm of the surrounding nature. From an administrative standpoint, the town has had several mayors: Alvaro Parca, who led the Centre-left Civic List from 1996 to 2000, was succeeded by Giuseppe Pennacchia, a member of the Civic List, who led the town until 2005.
