Ghislarengo

Ghislarengo: a small town in Piedmont

Hello everyone! Today I would like to talk to you about Ghislarengo, a small town located in the heart of the Vercelli province in Piedmont.

Founded in 821, this town currently has around 821 inhabitants and has a very interesting history. But before we talk about its history, let's take a look at some useful information.

Symbols

The coat of arms of the municipality of Ghislarengo, granted in 2005 by the President of the Republic, is really beautiful: you can find it in the photo below. The flag, on the other hand, is a split flag of blue and white.

Society

From a demographic point of view, Ghislarengo has experienced a rather stable evolution in recent years. The population has remained around 821 inhabitants, without major variations.

Infrastructure and transport

Ghislarengo has a railway station, on the Biella-Novara line. Unfortunately, since 2013, this station has been without traffic. But in the past, the town was also served by the Vercelli-Aranco tram: an interesting information for those who love transport history.

An important location for car enthusiasts

But let's get to the most interesting part of Ghislarengo's history. Since 1997, in fact, the headquarters of the National Club of Lotus Cars sports cars and its racing team has been located in our town.

This means that Ghislarengo has become a place of great importance for motor enthusiasts, who gather here to admire the most beautiful cars and to participate in events and shows organized by the club.

We car lovers cannot be but proud to have such an important reality just a few steps away from our home!

Administration and curiosities

To conclude, I'll leave you with a couple of curiosities about Ghislarengo: the current mayor is Marco Bellone, who took office in 2018. In addition, on the municipality's website, it is possible to consult its online notice board: a useful service for those who want to know everything that is happening in our administration.

Conclusions

Here's my story about Ghislarengo, our small Piedmontese town that has a lot to offer. I hope I have helped you to know this reality a little better, which despite its size is rich in history, culture, and motor enthusiasts.

Greetings to everyone and see you next time!
