Football, athletics, bowls, and volleyball are the most practiced sports in Gaglianico. In particular, the Gaglianico Volley School was founded in 2003 and has achieved a leading position in the Biella area and beyond. In the 2016/17 season, the main team participated in a regional championship, securing easy relegation. The following season, the team reached the third place in Serie D, with consequent access to the promotion playoffs.
