Forni di Sopra is a municipality located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, characterized by an enchanting atmosphere and surrounded by the beauty of the Friulian Dolomites. With an altitude of 907 meters, it is the most western municipality in the province of Udine and a jewel of the region.

The name "Forni Savorgnani" derives precisely from the relationships that these territories had with the Savorgnan family, which administered the fiefdom of which Forni di Sopra was a part.

Among the main attractions of the municipality, we find the Church of San Floriano, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and the Church of San Giacomo Apostolo.
