Anthropological study
Tret was the subject of a study conducted by American anthropologists John W. Cole and Eric R. Wolf. Their essay 'The Hidden Frontier' compares the patterns of inheritance of property with those of the nearby community of Senale-San Felice, highlighting the cultural and social differences between the two parts divided by a linguistic and ethnic border. The work of the anthropologists has contributed to making the culture and history of this mountain hamlet known and to enhancing its unique traditions.
