The plain of Fondi is very rich in water, with over twenty springs and three lakes, including Lake Fondi, a beautiful example of a coastal lake that has an area of about 3.8 km² and a crescent shape. Thanks to the canals of Sant'Anastasia and Canneto, Lake Fondi is home to a great variety of animal and plant species.
