Hello everyone! Today I would like to talk to you about a small Italian town called Fiesco, located in the province of Cremona in Lombardy. With its 1184 inhabitants, it is a quiet and peaceful place, but there are some interesting things to know about this place.
Society
Demographic evolution
Fiesco has a stable population that does not undergo significant changes over the years. Most citizens live in small houses or apartments.
Ethnicities and foreign minorities
Some citizens of Fiesco come from foreign countries. As of December 31, 2020, foreign residents were 81, and the most numerous national communities are India, with 27 people, and Romania, with 22.
Administration
The Municipality of Fiesco is currently led by the Mayor, but over the years, there have been several mayors who have led the city towards a better future.
Other administrative information
In 2018, Fiesco underwent a merger procedure to be incorporated into the Municipality of Castelleone. However, a consultative referendum was held both in Fiesco and Castelleone, which revealed that only 59.32% of Fiesco voters were in favor of the merger project, so the project was canceled. On the contrary, 92.32% of the voting citizens of Castelleone were in favor.

Fiesco is also known for the Vacchelli Canal, an important tourist site in the city, and the Vacchelli Canal cycle path, a cycle path that crosses the canal for about 33 km.
