This beautiful city has around 902 residents, and is situated on the inner side of the Catena Paolana mountain range, at the feet of Mount Cocuzzo (1,541m), at an altitude of 730 meters above sea level.

A brief history of Domanico
The origin of Domanico is not certain. Until 1445, the village belonged to the archbishop of Cosenza. Later, it was ruled by the Adorno from 1445 to 1532 and then by the Alarcon Mendoza della Valle from 1532 to 1806. After the end of feudalism, Domanico was damaged by the earthquake of 1905.
The symbol of Domanico
The coat of arms of Domanico was extracted from the State Archive of Naples, and represents the town's standard. The elements of the standard are silver, and its vertical pole is covered in velvet with the colors of the banner alternated with spiral silver bullet holes. The town's coat of arms is represented in the arrow, and the name is inscribed on the staff.
