Denno
Denno: a town in the province of Trento
Denno, also known as Dén in the Nones dialect, is an Italian municipality located in the province of Trento. The town, with its 1207 inhabitants, is the main center of the Non Valley. Its history is ancient and can be traced back to the 12th century when it was first mentioned in a document by the counts of Appiano on the wine road in favor of the Augustinian Collegiate of San Michele all'Adige.
The territory on which Denno stands covers 1042 hectares and is characterized by two distinct zones: a fruit-growing area adjacent to the town and a large forested area consisting of a complex that extends along the eastern slope of the ridge separating the Non Valley from the Tovel Valley. The area partially included in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park offers various interesting excursions, and the Malga Arza represents a reference point for numerous hikes in the Dolomiti di Brenta mountains.
The history of Denno
The name of the town derives from Enno, which was the name of the lords of Enno of the medieval castle, Castel Enno, now disappeared, which stood near the village. Originally, the town was called D'Enno, but over time the name changed to Denno.

In particular, the ancient wood processing is still widespread and renowned, aimed at the production of furniture and furnishings.
