History
The history of Tormo is very ancient. Located in a strategic position along the Orzinuovi state road 235, it owes its name to the Tormo river, tributary of the Adda. During the Napoleonic era, Tormo was annexed to Corte Palasio, but regained autonomy with the constitution of the Lombardo-Veneto Kingdom. With the unification of Italy, the municipality had only 235 inhabitants and was then annexed to Crespiatica in 1879.

The heart of Tormo is represented by Villa Cavezzali Gabba, built in the first half of the 19th century with a typical neoclassical style of the time. The villa is surrounded by a large park and offers frescoes and paintings by important Italian masters of the 19th century such as Francesco Hayez, Francesco Podesti, Pelagio Palagi, and many others. On this occasion, you can also admire a beautiful neoclassical temple that has now become the parish church.

From the point of view of infrastructure and transport, Tormo was served between 1880 and 1931 by a stop on the Lodi-Crema-Soncino tram.
