History

Despite the lack of concrete evidence, it is believed that Cremeno has a long history dating back to the Roman Civilization, as its territory was crossed by the "via Spluga," a Roman road that connected Milan with the Spluga Pass. During the Duchy of Milan, Cremeno was the capital of the so-called "Council Squad." Since the 70s, the village has changed its rural vocation becoming a seaside resort.
