History

In the fifteenth century, it was part of the Vicariate of Belgioioso, first feudalized by the Estensi and then by the princes Barbiano di Belgioioso. The territory to which the village belonged was called "Campagna Sottana" Pavese.
The village, initially called "Costa San Zenone," assumed its current name only in 1863.

The coat of arms and the flag of Costa de' Nobili were approved by the municipal council on April 14, 1980, and granted by decree of the President of the Republic on November 5, 1981.
