History

Like many other municipalities in northern Italy, Costa de' Nobili also has an ancient and fascinating history. In the fifteenth century, it was part of the Vicariate of Belgioioso, first feudalized by the Estensi and then by the princes Barbiano di Belgioioso. The territory to which the village belonged was called "Campagna Sottana" Pavese.

The village, initially called "Costa San Zenone," assumed its current name only in 1863.

Symbols

The coat of arms and the flag of Costa de' Nobili were approved by the municipal council on April 14, 1980, and granted by decree of the President of the Republic on November 5, 1981.

The emblem depicts a red tower on a golden background, while the flag is divided in half between yellow and red. In short, colors that recall strength and vitality.

The Municipality of Costa de' Nobili has a population of 379 inhabitants, and although the size of the village is small, the community is very active.
