Magrè on the Wine Road is mentioned for the first time as ''Margretum'' in 1181. Throughout its history, Magrè belonged to the jurisdiction of Caldaro until 1913 and then to the district court of Neumarkt in southern Tyrol until the end of World War I. One of the most important historical monuments of the municipality is the church of Santa Geltrude.
